Secondly is a steam inhalation. It is simple but effective to relieve dry cough caused by allergy and wet cough related to bronchitis and other infections. Warm vapors will moisturize dry airways and relieve inflammation. They also contribute to make phlegm accumulated to cough up easily. Inhaling this vapor before sleeping proves to improve the sleeping quality. To give extra effect we may add eucalyptus oil or menthol.

Third is Fresh Ginger. It has been long time known to have strong anti inflammatory effect to relieve airway inflammation and sore throat form any cause. Extract your ginger juice from fresh rhizomes and mix with honey to make cough syrup. Few drops are effective to suppress your cough. In addition, we can make a ginger tea by boiling some slices of fresh gingers. Drink it warm and you will get your cough relieved.

Fourth, use lemon and honey. The mixture is effective to combat persistent cough so you can sleep well at night. Just mix a small lemon juice and two table spoons of honey in warm water then drink it. It is healthy drink you can make each time you want. Ingredients contained will relieve your throat inflammation and help to refresh your breath.

Fifth, Raw Garlic. Perhaps it is the easiest and simplest way to combat a cough. Just eat raw garlic cloves then throat irritation or respiratory infections would be relieved and very effective for whooping cough due to its bioactive chemical. Its antibacterial activity also contributes to combat pathogenic bacteria whether gram positive or negative. If you cannot bear the taste, adding crushed garlic to food would help to relieve cough due to cold and respiratory allergies.

The last is hot soup. It is popular dish to relieve a cough particularly those that accompany cold and flu. Try to make chicken soup by yourself, the spicy one, include ginger, garlic, onion and black pepper. This relieves your cough in most comfortable way due to its delicious taste particularly cough caused by influenza.
